Responsibilities:

An Internship with Unidos Por Ecuador is designed to provide practical, firsthand experience of working with a grassroots non-profit organization. Interns will be working with staff and local groups directly to support the needs of the Hispanic Community. Our Interns will gain experience in the process of citizenship application, advocacy, voter education, event planning, volunteer recruitment, etc. Interns will have the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of departments: communications, fundraising, outreach, and research.

Qualifications:

Prospective Interns should have a strong commitment to the Hispanic community and grassroots organizing. Candidates for the program should exhibit excellent personal, verbal, and written communication, and be self-driven, flexible and capable of working in a fast- paced environment.

  • Non-profit experience a plus in support of issues, initiatives or campaigns

  • Goal- oriented and willing to hold themselves accountable

  • Ability to work well with coalitions and the staff and leaders of allied organizations

  • Energetic outlook and commitment to the mission and grassroots approach

  • Team oriented that collaborates collectively and creatively drive and motivate others

  • Time commitment:

    • Flexible shifts: Morning, Noon, Nights and Weekends. Must be available three days minimum. Shifts hours vary.
